Fergus Laird

Fergus Laird has been with Naylors Gavin Black (formerly Naylors) for all but one of its 35 years, having started his career in at William H Brown in Norwich in 1989 and then working for Storey Sons and Parker in Newcastle in 1990.

 Fergus is President of the Commercial Property Network (CPN) (formerly PAI), a national network of similar sized firms of general practice surveyors across the UK. He is also a Trustee of Centrewest and the Beacon Partnership, both charities based in the west end of Newcastle with a remit to improving the quality of life for the residents.

 Fergus splits his time between being a commercial property investment specialist, having acted on behalf of national funds, property companies and high net worth individuals in buying and selling investments and leading on business development for the business. 

In his free time, Fergus likes to cycle and run in the countryside around his home in the North Yorkshire Moors and when able, the hills of Mallorca.
