Fergus Laird
Partner - Investment
Fergus Laird has been with Naylors Gavin Black (formerly Naylors) for all but one of its 32 years, having started his career in Norwich in 1989 and then working for Storey Sons and Parker in Newcastle in 1990.
Fergus is currently President of the Commercial Property Network (CPN) (formerly PAI), a national network of similar sized firms of general practice surveyors across the UK. He is also a Trustee of Centrewest and the Beacon Partnership, both charities based in the west end of Newcastle with a remit to improving the quality of life for the residents.
Fergus is a commercial property investment specialist, having acted on behalf of national funds, property companies and high net worth individuals in buying and selling investments.
Fergus and the team are active in disposals of assets for clients across a range of sectors and geographies, whilst also having a strong reputation for successfully sourcing off-market opportunities.
Fergus is a member of SIOR (the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). His membership will allow him unrivalled access to overseas investors.
In his free time, Fergus likes to cycle the countryside around his home in the North Yorkshire Moors and when able, the hills of Mallorca.
