Martyn Collins

Martyn has over 30 years’ experience in the North East property market, starting his career with Newcastle based Storey Sons & Parker before moving to Chesterton as Director in charge of the Valuation and Landlord & Tenant service lines. In 2000, Martyn moved to Knight Frank as partner in the Newcastle office. He joined Gavin Black & Partners in July 2011 as a Partner which then merged with Naylors to become Naylors Gavin Black in 2019.
Martyn deals with all aspects of commercial property consultancy, however specialises in professional work. This includes advising on lease renewals, rent reviews and valuation. In addition, Martyn provides expert witness advice in mainly value related disputes.
Martyn has been a member of the RICS Dispute Resolution Service Panel of Arbitrators and Independent Experts since 2009 and receives both RICS and private appointments.
Outside of work, Martyn is Chair of the Tyne Theatre and Opera House Limited which is the operating company of the Grade I listed Tyne Theatre. He is also a trustee of TDR Training.
