Congratulations to our latest Chartered Surveyor!
September 2020
We are delighted to congratulate Duncan Christie who passed his APC and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor this summer.
The APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) exam is made up of a written submission and a professional interview and once the assessment is passed, the individual receives fully Chartered status.
Commenting on his achievement, Duncan said: “Given the lockdown situation, it was a challenge to adapt to sitting the APC remotely, especially as I was one of the first to do so. But with the help and support of my colleagues and the wider surveying community in the North East I still managed to thoroughly prepare, which stood me in good stead to pass first time.
“I was overjoyed to hear that I had passed and also relieved! I am now looking forward to further advancing my career with Naylors Gavin Black in the years to come.”
Duncan joined Naylors Gavin Black in 2017 to work alongside Keith Stewart and Chris Donabie in the Industrial Agency team. He previously worked in residential agency and completed a Masters in Real Estate at Northumbria University.
Earlier this year Duncan completed the letting of 309A Foster Court at Team Valley to Wren Kitchens and in August he disposed of the long leasehold interest of a 9,880 sq ft warehouse at Blezard Court in Blaydon.
Angus White, managing partner said: “I am delighted to congratulate Duncan on passing his APC, it is a great achievement. This strengthens our growing team of fully qualified surveyors and the professional level of service we offer to clients. We are committed to training our surveyors to high professional standards and wish Duncan every success in his career.”
