Naylors Gavin Black is named Property Agency of the Year
October 2020
Following the many challenges that 2020 has presented, it was with great delight that Naylors Gavin Black accepted the Property Agency of the Year Award last week following the announcement by Insider Media.
The Property Agency of the Year is awarded to the North East-based property agency which has made a real impact on the region’s property industry. The 2020 Award winners have been announced over the course of the past fortnight following the cancellation of the Awards Dinner due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Also shortlisted for the Property Agency of the Year Award 2020 were Avison Young and Knight Frank.
Not only were the scale and significance of our Agency instructions and deals assessed, but also our procedures and practices, as well as any innovation introduced over the last 12 months.
Our Agency team secured a number of high profile instructions throughout the qualifying period including IAMP (International Advanced Manufacturing Park) in Sunderland; new office development at Airview Park, Newcastle Airport; 1 St James Gate for JLL Asset Management; and Broadacre House, Newcastle.
We have also been involved in providing consultancy advice and agency services to Caterpillar, Marelli Automotive, Liebherr, Vertu, Gateshead College, Logicor and Sumo throughout some challenging market conditions.
Partner, Keith Stewart commented: “To be named Property Agency of the Year is fantastic recognition for our Agency team. Deals such as the disposal of 2m sq. ft to Amazon at Integra 61 in Durham illustrate what can be done in the North East with the right team in place and our commitment to delivering excellent service and advice for clients.”
The North East Property Awards judges said: “This has been a significant period for the firm, following the merger in September last year. We were impressed with the priority they have to customer satisfaction through regular file audits, client reports and telephone interviews.”
In 2019 Naylors Gavin Black was launched following the merger of Naylors and Gavin Black and Partners bringing together well-respected property consultancies to form the largest independent practice in the North East.
The sponsor of the Property Agency Award is office design and fit-out specialist AMH Workspace. Heather Baxter, the company’s business development manager, commented: “Property Agency of the Year is always a tough and competitive category to judge. We’re lucky that here in the North East we are represented by some of the best agents in the country. 2020 has been a year like no other. Whilst it’s had its challenges, we’re lucky to have remained operational throughout and have some exciting projects nearing completion too. “
