Naylors' Office Agency lands Fenham Hall studios instruction
May 2016
The owner of a historic plot on the outskirts of Newcastle has enlisted the help of Naylors’ Office Agency team to drive its available office space.
Fenham Hall Studios, on the North West fringe of central Newcastle, has a number of studio offices available which we are delighted to be marketing.
The striking hall, which dates back to 1745, has modern dedicated office space within its grounds and offers a unique chance for tenants to take up a historic address close to central Newcastle.
Fenham Hall Studios’ Peter Lambert said: “We’re enlisting the help of Naylors as we feel they are well placed to promote the quality of this unique corner of commercial space within minutes of the centre of town.
“Tenants have the luxury of modern facilities with substantial car parking, but within the stunning grounds of a historic and culturally important Newcastle location. I look forward to working with the Naylors team to help Fenham Hall Studios fulfill its undoubted potential.”
Fenham Hall Studios sits just off Fenham Hall Road and is within minutes of the newest developments around Science Central, Newcastle University Business School and St James’ Park.
The venue recently held a drone demo day with Fenham Hall Studio tenants, The Roundhouse. Dozens of attendees from creative, architectural and property-related fields were in attendance.
Our head of office agency, Simon Taylor, was also in attendance. He said: “It’s very rare you find a hidden gem like this with all the convenience of an out-of-town facility, but so close to all the attractions of central Newcastle. We’re thrilled to be working with Peter to market this studio office space and anticipate a high level of interest, particularly from the creative and technology sectors.”
Units available range from 321sq ft to 1025 sq ft, with rental prices starting from £12.50 / sq ft. The studios offer their own dedicated parking, visitor parking and the availability of superfast broadband.
Current tenants include The Roundhouse, a leading creative communications agency, ABS financial services, the headquarters for the North East Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) and RGIS a Worldwide stocktaking business.
Fenham Hall was designed by Daniel Garrett, the celebrated architect of the famous Burlington Estate in central London, in 1745 for the famed Blackett Ord family.
It was added to a short while afterwards by William Newton, who also designed other striking North East buildings, including the Newcastle Assembly Rooms, Dissington Hall in Northumberland and Charlotte Square in Central Newcastle.
The site operated as St Mary’s College between 1905 and 1985 and parts of the hall remain in the education sector as Newcastle University halls of residence.
